About the event

noun: rebel; plural noun: rebels

a person who resists authority, control, or convention.

For one day only we will be retreating from all our adulting responsibilities! Being a grown up is hard, stressful and often tediously monotonous, so get ready for a day that takes you away from your normal routine and invites you to have FUN! Whilst I am calling this a reatreat, it is effectively a throw back to all the ways we (and by we, I mean me specifically) found joy in carefree youth of the 90's and early naughtiest. Combinig all the best bits about being part of our community and showcasing some of the out of the ordinary ways we can bring movement into our lives.

- Disco lights, probably a bubble machine and epically nostalgic tunes

- Ministry of Barre:  This is essentially ballet with attitude. Learn to Plié, Arabesque and Pirouette to the sounds of club classics.

- The Functional Movement Games:  Full permission to get really silly with some old school party games that will secretly help to imporve strength, flexibility and ballance. Did someone say Twister?

- Circus Skills:  Roll around, learn to ballance on your hands, or partner up and play with making cool shapes together.

- Disco Nap:  A little lie down to rest and recharge

- On a Mission:  We acre getting outdoors and getting them steps in. Walk, jog, run, or skip... you can cover the ground anyway you like, PLUS there will be a picnic en route. Final destination: THE PUB.

- Goodie bag:  Because it wouldn't be a party without one!

Disclaimer:  This is not a "wellness" event. There is no "wellness" asthetic, it is nothing to do with nutrition (it ain't my lane), no one dishing out advice, no judgement, no guilt, no shame, no preaching. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, eat whatever makes you smile (unlimited Hula Hoops, Party Rings and Haribo will be provided) and allow yourself to move in ways that are playful, not punishing. This is a day designed to remind you that movement is a way to feel great as it improves and helps sustains our physical, mental and social health. Movement is the mission, but we are going to do it in a way that makes us laugh, have fun, feel freeing, and hopefully leave you feeling "well-good" inside and out!
